Twin4Twin at ISFS 2025
The 6th International Smart Factory Summit (#ISFS25) took place from June 11–13, 2025, at the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, bringing together thought leaders and innovators from across the globe to explore the future of smart manufacturing.
The Summit
Hosted by Twin4Twin project partner Swiss Smart Factory (SSF) in collaboration with UNIDO and the Swiss CxO Forum (SCF), the Summit served as a global platform to discuss how smart factory ecosystems are transforming industries—focusing on sustainability, human-centric innovation, and resilience.
Under the theme “Deep Tech Smart Factory – Uniting Humans, AI, Robots & Processes”, ISFS25 focused on the economic and societal impacts of emerging deep technologies and their role in reshaping manufacturing. The three-day event was geared toward international decision-makers from both the public and private sectors, and brought together a global community of experts from Europe, Asia, Africa, South and North America.
Attendees benefited from a rich program of keynote speeches, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and exclusive visits to leading innovation hubs including: Swiss Smart Factory (SSF), Swiss Cobotics Competence Center (S3C), Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Center, Swiss Battery Technology Center.
Twin4Twin Partners in Action
The Swiss Smart Factory, a key project partner for Twin4Twin, organised the summit —an important initiative it has led for the past six years. This flagship event brings together smart factory ecosystems from around the world under one umbrella, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Another Twin4Twin project partner, CORE Innovation Centre (CORE IC), also contributed actively to the program, with a featured presentation during the event.
Dr. Dominic Gorecky, Head of the Swiss Smart Factory, played a central role at the Summit—opening the event with a welcoming address that set the stage for high-level discussions on the future of global manufacturing, and moderating several key sessions throughout the program.
Dr. Nikos Kyriakoulis, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CORE IC took the stage during the Smart Factory Hubs Pitching Session, to present the Greek Smart Factory —a collaborative platform that brings together manufacturers, tech providers, and academia to drive innovation in real-world industrial settings. His presentation emphasized the hub's distinctive strengths and the growing potential for international cooperation. The session also featured hubs from Brazil, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Indonesia, and Spain, each sharing insights into their ecosystems and strategic visions.
The participation of Twin4Twin partners at ISFS25 underscored their leadership in shaping the future of smart manufacturing. It also highlighted the vital role of cross-border collaboration, deep tech adoption, and knowledge sharing in driving global industrial transformation.
Stefanos Kokkorikos, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CORE IC and Twin4Twin Project Coordinator, along with Andreas Burn, Head of the Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Center, were also in attendance—further strengthening the project’s visibility and impact at the event.
We look forward to building on the momentum from ISFS25 and continuing our mission to foster innovation and sustainability through the Twin4Twin project.
